A Scorched, Shadow-Lit Take on the Reels
Nolimit City built its name on grim, over-the-top settings, and Blood & Shadow leans hard into that inferno and dark aesthetic — smouldering ruins and shadow-wrapped symbols rather than fruit and bells. It sits comfortably among the high-volatility end of Here2Win Casino's library, and if you're weighing it against the rest of the shelf, the Here2Win Casino best games rundown groups it with other bonus-buy, big-swing titles. I reckon Nolimit City doesn't just dress up a simple game with a spooky skin — the dark theme actually matches how the pokie plays: sharp, dramatic and not for the faint-hearted.
Bonus Rounds and the Bonus Buy Option
Two confirmed features shape a session here: bonus rounds built into the base game, and a bonus buy option that lets you pay directly for a shot at that round instead of grinding toward it the slow way. Buying in immediately increases how much you're risking on a single spin, so it's worth treating as its own budget line rather than folding it into your normal spin count. If you're still working through the welcome package's wagering, it's worth a squiz at the Bonus page first — buying a feature round burns through balance fast, and you want to know how that interacts with the wagering clock before you commit.

High Volatility and a 96.13% RTP
Blood & Shadow carries a high volatility rating, meaning the return is stacked into fewer, larger hits rather than a steady drip of small wins — expect longer stretches between rounds and bigger swings when the bonus rounds land. RTP sits at 96.13%, which lands fractionally above the median RTP across Here2Win Casino's tracked pokies (around 96.075%). It's not a huge gap, but it does put Blood & Shadow slightly ahead of the pack rather than behind it. For a high-volatility, bonus-buy game like this, I'd carve the session bankroll into smaller units than usual — say twenty to thirty spins' worth set aside before deciding whether to buy into a feature round or let it come naturally.
Where Blood & Shadow Sits Next to Other High-Volatility Picks
If the inferno theme isn't quite your thing but you still want that high-volatility, bonus-buy combination, Nolimit City's own Benji Killed In Vegas runs a crime-and-gold theme at a near-identical 96.04% RTP with the same bonus rounds and bonus buy pairing. For a change of scenery entirely, Pragmatic Play's 3 Buzzing Wilds swaps the dark setting for a nature theme, keeps the high volatility and bonus buy option, and sits at a 96.03% RTP — a handy pair of alternatives if you want to compare providers before settling in.
More High-Volatility Pokies to Compare
Beyond the two above, a few more names from the wider Here2Win shelf keep a similar bonus-buy energy, even where the setting or pace shifts.
Benji Killed In Vegas keeps Nolimit City's crime-and-gold theme with the same bonus rounds and bonus buy pairing as Blood & Shadow. Big Catch Bass Fishing Christmas swaps in Blueprint Gaming's festive fishing theme with bonus rounds and a bonus buy of its own, while Big Money Frenzy runs a gold-and-luxury theme with bonus rounds but no confirmed bonus buy.
